YAY for Innisfree- Your New Favourite Skincare / Makeup Brand!

Have you been wanting to try out the natural benefits of Korean skincare, but don’t know where to start? WELL, look no further because the popular brand Innisfree has finally come to Canada- right here in Toronto! A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of being invited to their media event ahead of their grand opening and was able to learn a bit about what their beauty philosophy is and what they aim to provide their customers. Armed with absolutely no knowledge of Korean skincare, I was able to gain a ton of info that I wouldn’t have learned if I had just been passing by. The media event was truly incredible, very informational- and I have to thank the wonderful Blend PR for having me!

Innisfree Philosphy & Branding*

One thing that stood out to me about Innisfree was their logo. I wanted to research further and came across their website and what they had to say about their logo/branding-

Our logo represents innisfree’s sincere endeavour to deliver healthy beauty with a typography that embodies our promise and strong commitments, and a colour inspired by the bold green shades of the Jeju Bija forest that symbolises nature’s vitality.

I personally think that their branding & logo is perfectly in sync with Jeju’s natural ingredients and greenery. It totally suits what they seek to embody!

Upon further research, I was able to learn the 5 promises that Innisfree aims to deliver it’s customers:

We pursue healthy beauty through “reliable ingredients.”
We pursue “smart consumption” by providing various good-quality products at reasonable prices.
We continue to include “eco-friendly green design” to leverage on the rich benefits of nature.
We practice “eco-friendly green life” to preserve the wellbeing of nature.

Jeju is the home of the four energies of pure nature, where harmony lives within. Innisfree pursues healthy beauty through natural ingredients from the pure Jeju Island.

Some other key takeaways from the brand is that they are a Fair Trade Company’s they seek to preserve Jeju’s natural ingredients- especially their green tea leaves which are grown in their chemical free soil on the island. How awesome is that?

Innisfree is also part of some eco-sustaining initiatives:

Eco-Handkerchief Campaign- proactive use of handkerchiefs help to preserve forests and reduce waste. This in turn helps to reduce global warming.
Bottle-Recycling Program- bring back your empty bottles & reduce waste plus gain member rewards!
Green Forest Campaign- all about deforestation and their efforts in re-planting trees all over the world.

Overall, this brand has been actively trying to change the world with their products in the way they produce and recycle them. Innisfree / Blend PR Media Event

The products were laid out nicely for us to see in terms of certain ingredients and uses. I had the pleasure of taking some fun flatlays for you guys! Some of the skincare categories that we got to learn about included their lines of Ginger Honey, Time Science, Orchid and even Green Tea. So far my favourites have been the honey ginger & green tea lines. They’re both really moisturizing and have kept my dry skin at bay!

It was an amazing experience- getting to know their products and ingredients from Jeju Island & how they source them. I truly had a GREAT time. The FOOD, the AMBIENCE- everything was perfect!

A few locations have actually opened up since the event, so make sure to pop by if you have the time.

Their stores are aesthetically pleasing and have the cutest decor, especially right now since it’s the holiday season. I believe they have a lot of great promos going on as well, so make sure to check them out and sign up for their email to reap the benefits of becoming a member!

Eaton Centre Grand Opening!

Did you know that Innisfree also carries makeup? HOW COOL?! Was so surprised when I saw this- had to pick some of them.

They have curated makeup looks! Such an easy way to visualize your “palette.”

I picked up both the concealer & foundation! Super creamy & very light-weight on the skin.

Final Thoughts

Upon learning about the Innisfree brand & products, I was able to learn about the importance of environmental sustainability within their brand & how they produce/preserve ingredients found on Jeju Island- the precious jewel of Korea. Not only do they care about the environment- they make sure to use only the best practices in order to create their products in general.

Through their campaigns, I can tell that Innisfree is a company that I want to support and purchase from. It’s nice to know that you’re doing your part for the environment by supporting their initiatives. I also like the fact that this brand truly embodies a company with great values. For me, it makes all the difference to support Innisfree because of the various messages they seek to communicate to the rest of the world.
