CHARLOTTE TILBURY FILMSTAR BRONZE & GLOW PALETTE REVIEW & SWATCHES

Let’s just get this out there: I love to contour and highlight. I feel like doing this step is a crucial part to the overall makeup process. Whenever I don’t do this, I feel as if something is missing. I have a pretty round face, so to get those sculpted cheekbones I love applying the shadow. The highlight helps to bring forward the parts that i want to accentuate, so I love applying it, just to give my face even more dimension.

OVERVIEW OF EACH COLOUR:

BRONZE: This colour is on the cooler side, yet still adds the right amount of warmth to your face. It really helps in giving my cheek bones a really nicely sculpted face. To me this is the PERFECT contour colour. You can use it on an everyday basis for a natural “I woke up like this” type of situation or you can even build it up for a more defined look on those nights where you need a bit of somethin’ somethin’

GLOW: This golden-champagne colour is great for a natural go-to look. When you’re on the go, it’s nice to be able to pop it on and not think about if you’re lookin’ like a disco ball (I really don’t mind though 😉 ) I personally love highlight so I just SLAP it on- I go to town with this highlight. I love how this highlight is  versatile where it can give you a natural glow, a crazy beautiful goddess-like J to the LO glow, and can also be used in many different ways. If I don’t have time, this is the highlight I use for an all over the face glow.

HOW I APPLY:

I love applying the bronzer/contour shade under my cheekbones and around the temples of my face to give myself an all-over bronzey-type contour. When I’m running late I also like using this as a crease colour for the eyes and as a blush for time constraints. Lastly, I sweep the highlight on the highest points of my cheekbones, my forehead, down the bridge of my nose and even use this as an eye shadow all over the lid. If you’re short on time (aren’t we all?!), try adding this to the inner corner of your eyes for a beautifully subtle yet noticeable pop. It helps to brighten your overall complexion and give you a nice wide-awake look.

My Thoughts?

I really and truly love this palette. It’s so versatile even though there are only two shades. At first I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to use it, but I’m glad I was able to find many ways in which I could. A product like this isn’t cheap, especially because it comes from one of the world’s most renowned makeup artists- Charlotte Tilbury. Let me tell you for a product that cost this much ($80.00 CAN), the quality and multiple ways and uses out of this palette outweigh the startling price. It is definitely worth every penny. I personally don’t like spending money on a product that I can’t get much use out of (two colours for the price of $80.00?!), but after being able to use this in so many ways, seeing the colour pay-off and the longevity of the product, I can honestly say this palette is worth the $$$. It really helps to beautifully enhance my features while also giving me the choice of using a heavier hand without looking like I’m crazy. I also like the fact that this palette is perfect for travel, and since I am going to Turkey soon this will definitely be the first thing I pack! I hope you loves enjoy my review!

BTW, this palette is available on Nordstrom or on CharlotteTilbury.com/ca 🙂

Much Love

XO
