For me, I like both subtle and glam highlighters, so as an avid highlight collector, this was an awesome addition to my collection! I don’t think you need both BUT if you have an addiction to highlighters then I think you’d love this as much as I do. So this highlight palette comes with 4 different highlighting shades as opposed to the first volume which only carried 2 highlights and 1 setting powder.

Here`s how tarte describes the 4 shades:

  • daylight (white gold)
  • skylight (pearl)
  • spotlight (champagne)
  • candlelight (rose gold)

I think that the colour selection in here is great for all skin tones! It has a very light, reminicent of becca’s “pearl”-type shade to a really gorgeous rose-gold that would look amazing on medium-darker complexions!

BTW, I believe that tarte and sephora will be the only places carrying this highlighting palette as of right now.

I must say though, that I do see a difference in formula with this one compared to the first volume. This formula is a bit chunky when picked up by a brush, so make sure that you take a little bit at a time and really go to town to blend, but after a few swipes, this baby should be ready to blind anyone who looks your way! BTW if you have fine lines or textured skin, this will probably enhance that (as all intense highlighters do!). Overall, these highlighters have a bit of a glitter & also a different kind-of-chunky texture to work with, but as long as you blend it out the highlight will beam nicely on that cheekbone.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY MY LOVES! XO
