QUICK REVIEW AND SWATCHES: ARTIST COUTURE X JACKIE AINA DIAMOND GLOW POWDERS

Hey loves! Today I thought I’d do a quick review on the brand new Artist Couture X Jackie Aina Diamond Glow Powders! My boyfriend actually bought this as a birthday gift for me, and I’ve been loving it ever since I received it- but let’s be real- I love anything my Auntie Jackie does and I support her throughout anything and everything she does. These highlighters though- had me SHOOK. I’ve actually never tried Artist Couture powders before, but when I got my hands on this everything changed… y’all couldn’t pry these out of my hands even if you tried!

OVERVIEW OF PRODUCTS

Overall, I absolutely gotta say… I love these powders! I believe my boyfriend paid about C$90.00 for the collection bundle which included the two highlighters and a cute little sparkly bag with Jackie’s name on it to store them in. For the amount of product you’re getting (and considering this is a loose powder), to me personally, I don’t think that’s a bad deal at all. I know that these products will last me a long time!

On to the formula- they are so finely milled and give off a beautiful shimmer to the face without feeling heavy or giving off that chunky “glittery” type of look. You literally look like a glistening goddess wearing this highlighter! It’s beautiful and I love the fact that they came out with not just one, but two highlighters for people who wouldn’t be able to wear “La Bronze.”

La Peach” is truly the perfect little sister to “La Bronze” and was a shade that I never knew I needed… but these two highlighters work so well together, and separately. Although “La Bronze” is a tad bit dark for my skin tone, I’m still able to use it as an eyelid shimmer or on the lips to give them a bronzed shimmery glow.

APPLICATION

I like applying the more peachy highlight with a soft tapered brush like the Real Techniques setting brush, and I use my Tarte Cosmetics flat eyeshadow brush (that I got in their holiday brush set) to apply the darker shade on my eyelids. I just dust some of the powder on my lips to add a beautiful bronzed look to them if I’m going for that extra glammed-out look!

LA PEACH DIAMOND GLOW POWDER

As you can see, “La Peach” is a beautiful peachy-gold shade that has beautiful shimmers throughout it. I use this on the tops of my cheeks, and anywhere else that needs an extra little something-something, like my cupids bow and my nose bridge. I like to play with light, so I love dusting this pretty much everywhere that I want my face to look extra glowy!

LA BRONZE DIAMOND GLOW POWDER

La Bronze… what can I say. It’s such a beautiful deep rosey bronze shade that looks so amazing on the skin, especially on those with a deeper complexion. I like to throw this on the lid over a neutral, brown-based eyeshadow look to add that EXTRA bit of sparkle and on my lips for a cohesive look on the face. Looks ultra gorgeous when applied over top a nude lip!

SWATCHES

I’m glad to say that I know I’ll be using these powders frequently because of how stunning they look on the skin. A lot of highlighters tend to accentuate the texture on my skin (and sometimes I’m okay with that but lately have been trying to explore more smoother formulas!) so it was a lovely surprise to see that “La Peach” didn’t, especially with all of those shimmers in the powder. Honestly at first I was a little nervous to try the powders because of how much sparkle factor was loaded all up in one cute little container (LOL yes, I love the packaging! SO rose gold and SO dang beautiful!), but actually applying it onto the skin truly had me gasping for air. Auntie Jackie literally slapped me in the face with the glow. LITERALLY.

I actually have a video of me trying out “La Peach” for the first time on twitter, and Auntie actually retweeted it and replied! Made my life. Anyways, if you’d like to see my first impression of me applying the powder, check out my twitter here: http://bit.ly/2FwHXhD

Make sure to follow me on there and my other socials to stay in the loop with what I’m up to!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Alright guys, this review is finally over! I just wanted to quickly let y’all know what you been missing, and to definitely grab these highlighters before they sell out! They are limited edition from what I heard, so if you’ve been on the fence about buying these, hopefully my review has helped to sway you in the right direction. I wouldn’t recommend anything I don’t like, and I honestly believe you will LOVE these powders once you get them. By the way, Artist Couture is actually sold in Sephora online and in-stores now, but this collection sadly isn’t so you can only order these online on their website.

Hope you enjoyed this quick review on these beautiful highlighters! Let me know if you’ll be picking it up or if you already have it. What do you think? I’d love to know!

BTW, I just wanted to say HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY <3 It’s so important to uplift and support the ladies in your life and I thank you all for supporting me throughout my blogging journey. Really couldn’t do this without you.

Much love to all of you hardworking BOSS ladies out there!
